         Welcome to Constantine & Co., and thank you for visiting!  My name is Katie and the story of Constantine & Co. began when I realized that I was constantly replacing costly live orchids throughout my home, so I set out to find a beautiful, life-like faux orchid arrangement in a unique planter.  After endless searching and having difficulty finding exactly what I was looking for, I decided to create the bespoke arrangement that I envisioned for my home.  I ordered numerous samples of faux orchids from various companies and was disappointed to find that due to mass production, the flowers all had noticeable imperfections that made them appear unrealistic. 

         Seeking to create an arrangement that looked as authentic as possible, after selecting the most lifelike faux orchid stems, I found through trial and error that by hand-altering each flower using heat tools and other devices, I could create a imitative orchid that looks like a thriving, live orchid even upon close inspection.  With these techniques, I am able to remove the imperfections that one normally sees in mass- produced artificial flowers and achieve a truly lifelike arrangement. 

         The process is very tedious but worth the time that I invest, and the finished product is a stunning example of how synthetic flowers can be made to look extremely realistic with added time and effort and by utilizing the unique techniques that I discovered.  I am also fortunate to be located in New Orleans, Louisiana, a city with a rich history and abundance of antique shops and estate sales which facilitates my ability to find beautiful planters that cater to all interior design aesthetics.  This allows me to ensure that each Constantine & Co. hand-crafted arrangement is placed in a curated vessel that I personally select in order to make the arrangement truly one-of-a-kind.
